Muslim Mentor Program is a faith-based community Partner with Harris County Sheriff's Reentry Program. Volunteer Mentors have been serving the jails located at 701 N. San Jacinto St. and 1200 Baker St. since July 2014. Volunteers visit 2000+ inmates annually.
Brief History Our story began over ten years ago when the founder attended ISGH Annual Prison Dawah Conference led by pioneer Dr. Laeeq Khan. Every speaker at the podium stressed the need for a place for returning citizens to come to or at least to call. Research findings tell us that a third of the inmate population doesn't need anyone’s help, a third cannot be helped, and a third absolutely can't make it without support
